About me

Most of you know me, but to those who don't - Hello, I am Cristabel an Englishwoman living in Edinburgh, Scotland. I like to create. Currently, for me that is Relief Printing, Poems, Cards and drawing on windows (not microsoft windows, but actual IRL windows) I have a suspicion I'll be doing other things along the way, but for now this is what you might find on this Website.

The work I have available for sale are my relief prints. I carve out of lino or wood, ink the plate up and then transfer the image to paper. I don't use the conventional printing method to print the prints you buy - each one is hand printed by me in Edinburgh, therefor each one is original and special to you. 

The images I create come from the little random joys in life. Perhaps it's a wish of someone's to own a cow, or the image a poem can create in your mind, birds visiting your garden, or your cat taking every available chair and claiming it as their bed. Life gives us moments of joy and if I can capture those moments and spread more joy, then that would make me happy. 

I believe that I have a responsibility as a human to the earth. I think about how I can do better by reducing my negative impact to the planet. I upcycle, recycle and use materials that aren't as harmful to the planet as others. I try my best but I am learning everyday.
