This print was part of an open call exhibition hosted by Isle of Riso up in Inverness. I can't thank them enough for letting me a part of the show and for doing such a great job of interpreting my take on the theme "islands". I called this "Connection in the Disconnect" as we all look for disconnection when we move or take a break on an Island, to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main land for a bit of peace. Whilst we find peace, we also find connection - we start to connect to people, not just pass them by. We learn that Island life depends on connection to other people, to the earth and to all the elements, in a way becoming more connected than our isolated Main Land life.
This print is printed with two colours using the Risograph machine - in Fluorescent Orange and Blue ink.
